Dr. Vaillancourt received her
doctorate in Counseling Psychology
with a
specialty in Women's Issues
from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1990. She
is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of
Illinois and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of
Missouri. She has been
in private practice since 1990
and has worked as Stress Management Coordinator at Southern
Illinois University Student Health Programs-Wellness Center.
Dr. Vaillancourt is interested in mind/body healing,
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), consciousness, dreamwork, imagery and metaphor in
psychotherapy, meditation and relaxation techniques, couples'
communication, Emotion Focused Marital Therapy, and stress
management.
Dr. Vaillancourt is considered an ally and is gay affirmative.
